A well-known landmark overlooking the River Liffey, the National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History at Collins Barracks is an elegant and convenient corporate events venue. Over 300 years of history
Collins Barracks dates back to 1704 and has housed various army troops through the years. Today, it is home to the Headquarters of The National Museum of Ireland and showcases fascinating exhibits on military history, costume, furniture, silver, ceramics, coins and glassware. Event organisers are welcome to allocate time for visits to the Museum or schedule tours to suit a group’s area of interest.
Great accessibility
For ease of access, the Museum has FREE car parking, a dedicated stop on the Luas line and is conveniently located beside Heuston Train Station, close to the city centre. All corporate spaces are fully wheelchair accessible.
Facilities
Four spaces are available for hire at Collins Barracks catering for a variety of group sizes and requirements. The Palatine Room, which overlooks the magnificent Clarke Square, seats up to 90 people for memorable banquets and conferences while the Foyer is a popular venue for evening receptions. For presentations, the Audio Visual Theatre accommodates 80 people and boasts its own separate entrance, cloakrooms and lobby area, while the Ante Room is an intimate, multi-purpose space for meetings, break-out sessions or light refreshments.
